We’re pleased to announce two additions to our Wednesday clinic schedule at ESP Physio. Mark Farrell is now seeing patients at our Grangemouth clinic, and Damien McCoy is now available at our Stirling clinic — giving even more of our patients across Scotland access to expert physiotherapy care.
Mark Farrell — Now at Grangemouth on Wednesdays, 10am–5:30pm
Mark brings a wealth of experience in sports science and physiotherapy to the Grangemouth clinic. He has held senior roles including Head of Football Science and Medicine, Head of International Physical Performance, First Team Sports Scientist, and Director of Sports Science and Strength & Conditioning at academy, club, international, and federation level.
His qualifications include a BSc in Sports Coaching, an MSc in Sports Science, an MPhil specialising in Strength and Conditioning and Injury Prevention, and an MSc in Physiotherapy. Mark is a member of FIFA, UKSCA, BASES, and NSCA (USA).
With over a decade of experience in football science, Mark has also worked across swimming, athletics, badminton, hockey, gymnastics, sailing, triathlon, and cricket, and has even consulted on injury prevention for e-sports athletes. He has lectured at the University of the West of Scotland on the Strength and Conditioning module and worked as a global consultant for sports clubs and associations.
Mark is now available at our Grangemouth clinic every Wednesday, 10am–5:30pm.

Damien McCoy — Now at Stirling on Wednesdays, 8:30am–2:30pm
Damien McCoy is now available at our Stirling clinic every Wednesday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm, bringing his physiotherapy expertise to patients in the area.
Damien’s journey to becoming a physiotherapist began in 2013 with an HND in Sports Therapy at City of Glasgow College, followed by an undergraduate degree at Teesside University in 2017. He then spent six years as part of the medical team for Glasgow City FC, before returning to education in 2022 to complete his Master’s in Physiotherapy at Edinburgh Napier University — including an eight-week placement here at ESP Physiotherapy in late 2025.
Damien holds an MSc (Pre-reg) in Physiotherapy, a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy, and qualifications in Dry Needling and Sports First Aid, and is a registered member of the HCPC and CSP. He brings experience from clubs including Glasgow City FC, Finnart JFC, Acklam RFC, and Yoker Athletic FC, and is highly skilled in hands-on techniques and exercise prescription. Damien is passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and recover with confidence.
