ESP are no strangers to providing physiotherapy cover to sporting teams and events. In recent years we have had our physiotherapists cover Falkirk Football Clubs U21 matches, Scotlands Strongest Man Finals and the Super 6, Wolves and Ladies teams at Stirling County Rugby Club.
However in recent weeks we have added the sports of Indoor Hockey to our list!
Olivia travelled to Spain as squad physio with the Women’s Indoor Scottish Hockey team while they played in the European Indoor Championships.
This is the third time she’s worked in international hockey, having previously traveled to Croatia with team Scotland working with both the men’s and women’s hockey teams from Canada.
The tournament was hosted in Orense, and the Scottish team played Poland, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain and Belgium.
Olivia was kept busy managing and treating injuries whilst the girls trained, and played during their time in Spain.
She also lead the team stretching sessions and took their cool downs post match. After another successful tournament she has been invited to travel with the team again in two years time when the competition returns.
