As a former professional rugby player, Mark has several years’ experience of playing at the top level. Having gained national age grade honours at U18, U19 and then ‘Scotland A’ as a senior, he spent seven years as a professional rugby player. Mark travelled the globe playing in New Zealand, Scotland and a large period of time in France, notably at Bourgoin in the French Elite 1st Division. In recent years he played and coached Falkirk RFC to five successive championships, and worked with some of the country’s top age grade athletes.
Mark also spent five successful years as a regional academy coach for the Scottish Rugby Union. It was in this role that he liaised with the Scottish Institute of Sport, and learned how to create the correct environment, for some of the country’s best young players, to fulfil their athletic potential. Mark also works as a director of Rugby at St Aloysius College.
Through his experiences, Mark has developed an extensive knowledge of ‘Mind Skills Techniques’, that are essential to be successful at the top level in sport.
